George IV (1820-30), silver Quarter-Dollar, 1822, with last 2 of date struck over 1, quartered shield of arms, with a crowned escutcheon of the Arms of Hanover, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS IV D: G: BRITANNIARUM REX F: D:, rev. inverted die axis, crown over anchor with looping rope, value IV either side, date below with 2 over 1, legend and toothed border surrounding, COLONIAR: BRITAN: MONET:, weight 6.78g (Pr.10; KM 3). Toned practically extremely fine, rare this nicely preserved.
Mintage: 433,511 of which the overdate will be a proportion.
