Charles I (1625-49), gold Unite, group B, second crowned and draped bust in ruff left, bust variety 2a, value XX in field behind, Latin legend and beaded borders surrounding, initial mark upright anchor both sides (1638-39), .CAROLVS D: G: MAG: BR: FR: ET HIB: REX., rev. crowned quartered shield of arms, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding without stops, FLORENT CONCORDIA REGNA, weight 8.98g (Brooker 45; Schneider 124; N.2148; S.2687). Lightly toned, double struck with some blundering, otherwise some good detail on bust, a bold very fine, a rare mint mark.
