D N IVSTINVS P P AVG Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Justin I facing slightly to right, holding spear in his right hand and with a shield decorated with horseman attacking a fallen foe over his left shoulder. Rev. VICTORIA AVGGG B / CONOB Angel standing facing, holding long linear cross with his right hand and globus cruciger in his left; in field to right, star. DOC 2b. MIB 3. SB 56. An attractive example struck on a broad flan and with an excellent portrait. Graffito of X on the obverse and with very light deposits, otherwise, extremely fine.
