ATTICA. Athens. Circa 440s-430s BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 17.15 g, 11 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rev. ΑΘE Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent; all within incuse square. Kroll 8. Svoronos, Monnaies, pls. 12 passim. A sharp and fresh example. The obverse a bit off center and with a hint of die rust, otherwise, good extremely fine.
