CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Bellovaci. Circa 60-30/25 BC. Stater (Gold, 18 mm, 6.16 g, 1 h), 'à l'astre' type. Devolved male head to right, with prominent nose and big eye. Rev. Celticized horse to left; above and below, stars. DT 265. LT 7234. A rare variety with horse to left. Struck from worn and broken dies, otherwise, very fine.
