Head of Tigranes II to left, wearing four-pointed tiara decorated with a star and tied with a diadem; to right, countermark: APK within rectangular incuse. Rev. [BAΣΙΛEΩΣ / MEΓAΛOY - TIΓPANOY] Tree; in left field, Iς. Kovacs 64. Rare. Good fine.

The countermark APK was applied by Arkathias II, King of Sophene (ca 93/90-90/89 BC), son of Mithradates VI Eupator and brother-in-law of Tigranes II.
