CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Remi. Late 2nd-mid 1st century BC. Stater (Gold, 17 mm, 6.11 g, 1 h), 'à l'oeil' type. Devolved laureate male head to right. Rev. Celticized horse galloping to left, horseman transformed into a V-shaped figure within a heart-shaped ornament; below, pellet-within-annulet within circle of pearls. DT 173. LT 8799. Light scratches, otherwise, very fine.
