CILICIA. Tarsus. Domitian, 81-96. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 14.02 g, 12 h), circa 93-95. AYTO KAI ΘE YI ΔOMITIANOΣ ΣE ΓEP Laureate head of Domitian to right. Rev. ΜΗΤΡΟΠΟΛΕΩΣ City-goddess, turreted and veiled, seated right, holding palm in her right hand; to right at feet, river-god Kydnos, crowned with wreath of sedge, swimming right; in field to right, monogram of Tarsos. Prieur 750. RPC II 1727. An attractive example struck in high relief. Good very fine.
