Septimius Severus, 193-211. As (Copper, 23 mm, 4.56 g, 12 h), a contemporary cast, irregular mint (in Gaul?), after 208. [SEVER]VS PIVS AVG Laureate head of Septimius Severus to right. Rev. [P M TR P XVI / COS III P P / S C] High arched bridge with colonnaded towers at each end; below, small boat rowing left. Cf. BMC 857, Cohen 523 and RIC 786c (for prototype). Minor deposits, otherwise, fine.
