P M TR P XVII IMP III COS IIII P P / S - C Mars standing front, head to left, placing his right foot on helmet, holding branch in his right hand and inverted spear with his left. BMC p. 482* var. = Cohen 262 var. = RIC 529 var. (all with radiate head only). A very rare variety. Minor corrosion, otherwise, very fine.
