Caracalla, 198-217. Dupondius (Orichalcum, 25 mm, 10.50 g, 7 h), Rome, 214-217. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right, seen from behind. Rev. PROVIDENTIAE DEORVM / S - C Providentia standing front, head to left, holding wand over globe in her outstretched right hand and scepter in her left. BMC 273. Cohen 539 var. (not draped and not cuirassed). RIC 575a. Some deposits and the reverse somewhat smoothed, otherwise, about very fine.
