Severus Alexander, 222-235. Medallion (Copper, 25 mm, 10.43 g, 12 h), Rome, 226. IMP CAES M AVR SEV ALEXANDER AVG Laureate and draped bust of Severus Alexander to right, seen from behind. Rev. PONTIF MAX TR P V COS [II P P] / LIB AVG III Severus Alexander seated left on platform; behind him, officer and soldier standing front, their heads turned to left; in front of him, Liberalitas standing front, head to left, holding counting-board in her right hand and cornucopiae with her left; below, citizen mounting steps. BMC 321 (same dies). Cohen 126. RIC 455. Extremely rare. Some scratches, otherwise, fine.
