Gordian III, 238-244. As (Copper, 25 mm, 10.36 g, 1 h), Rome, 238-239. IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Gordian III to right, seen from behind. Rev. VIRTVS AVG / S - C Gordian III advancing right, holding spear in his right hand and shield with his left. Cohen 394. RIC 259b. Rare. Minor surface crack on the obverse and with some minor flan faults on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
