(x) William I (1066-87), Penny, 1.37g, Profile Right / paxs mule, Winchester, Leofwold, + pillelm rex, crowned and draped bust right, sceptre in front, rev. lefpold on pinc, cross pattée, paxs in angles (same dies as BMC 497, SCBI 20 (Mack) 1402 and SCBI 30 (American) 704; N.847/848; S.1256/1257), a superb example, extremely fine with an excellent portrait, very rare.
