(x) Stephen (1135-54), Penny, 1.26g, Profile / Cross and Piles type, Ipswich, Alvric, crowned bust left, holding sceptre in front, rev. + alvric : on : gip:, cross fleury with a pile surmounted by a trefoil of annulets in each angle (Mack-; N.879; S.1281), surface marks on both sides, otherwise a full round coin, almost very fine, an extremely rare type for Ipswich.
