(x) Stephen (1135-54), Penny, 1.01g, Cross Moline (Watford) type with defaced obverse die, Thetford, Baldwin, crowned and diademed bust right, holding sceptre in right hand, defaced by thick long cross stretching to edge of coin, rev. + bal[dwi o]n : tef, cross moline, fleur in each angle (Mack 142b - this coin; N.924; RAGC 10 - this coin; S.1283; SCBI 26 (East Anglia) 1470), traces of verdigris, a small edge spit at 7 o'clock, otherwise an exceptionally well struck example, good very fine, very rare.
