(x) Stephen (1135-54), Penny, 0.96g, Cross Moline (Watford) type with defaced obverse die, Nottingham, Swein, crowned and diademed bust right, holding sceptre in right hand, legend deliberately overstruck and portrait defaced by small cross and pellet rev. + spein : on : snot, cross moline, fleur in each angle (Mack 149o and plate IV; N.925/3; S.1284), very fine, extremely rare with this obverse die.
