THESSALY, Trikka. Circa 440-400 BC. AR Hemidrachm (17mm, 2.76 g, 11h). The hero Thessalos, nude but for cloak and petasos, holding a band below the horns of forepart of bull leaping right / TP-I-KK-AI-O-И, forepart of bridled horse right; all within incuse square with rounded corners. BCD Thessaly II 767 var. (ethnic); HGC 4, 311. Near VF, toned, slight die wear and graffito (Θ) on reverse. Well centered.
