LYCIA, Phaselis. Circa 500-440 BC. AR Stater (19mm, 11.10 g, 7h). Prow of galley left in the form of a forepart of a boar / Stern of galley right within incuse square. Heipp-Tamer Series 4, Emission 1, 49 (V25/R44); SNG Ashmolean 1093 (same dies). Near VF, struck from worn obverse die.

The obverse die used for this coin was also used to strike the last coins of the archaic period at Phaselis (cf. Heipp-Tamer Series 3, Emission 1b, 37–40).
