Crowned and mantled bust left; XII (mark of value) to right / Declaration in three lines across field and within three parallel lines; three Oxford plumes above; 1643 below. Morreison, Oxford, G/9; Brooker –; North 2445; SCBC 2972. Fine, toned, some roughness, ragged edge. Very rare Morrieson G/9 dies, only one in CoinArchives.

This was the last issue of 1643 for Oxford shillings. As Morrieson notes, the declaration on this die is the least abbreviated version found on any coin.
