SCOTLAND. James I. 1406-1437. AR Groat (24mm, 2.09 g, 11h). First fleur-de-lis issue. Edinburgh mint. Crowned facing bust; lis-tipped scepter and saltire to left, I to right; lis and two saltires on breast; all within tressure of seven arches with lis at each arc / Long cross pattée; trefoils with additional pellets in first and fourth quarter, lis with pellet to right in second, lis with saltire to right in third. Burns 18 and fig. 450 var. (placement of pellet and saltire); SCBC 5195. Near VF, toned, minor flan crack, slightly crimped ragged edge.
