SCOTLAND. James III. 1460-1488. AR Groat (24.5mm, 2.25 g, 7h). Light issue. Edinburgh mint. Struck circa 1482. Crowned facing bust within tressure of arcs / Long cross pattée; triple pellets and voided stars in alternating in quarters. SCBI 35 (Ashmolean & Hunterian) 762-6; SCBC 5280. Fine, toned, areas of flat strike.
