SCOTLAND. Charles I. 1625-1649. AR 12 Shillings (32mm, 5.77 g, 6h). Third coinage, Falconer's (first) issue, type IV. Edinburgh mint; im: F and thistle. Struck 1637-1642. Crowned, armored, and draped bust left; XII (mark of value) behind / Crowned coat-of-arms; crowned C R above lozenges flanking. SCBI 35 (Ashmolean & Hunterian) 1502-8; SCBC 5561. Near VF, toned, slightly creased, scratch in obverse field.
