Sasanian Kingdom. Hormizd I. A.D. 272-273. AR drachm (26 mm, 4.14 g, 3 h). Bust of Hormizd I right, wearing diadem and crown with korymbos, symbol on shoulder / Fire altar with ribbon; flanked by two attendants facing inward, the left, wearing crown with korymbos, raising arm, the right, wearing mural crown, holding up diadem. SNS type Ib/2a; Göbl type I/1; cf. Sunrise 750. Very rare with double-line legend behind head. Nice strike on a full flan. Attractive toning. Good very fine.
