Phoenicia, Ake-Ptolemais. Nero. A.D. 54-68. Æ (24 mm, 12.97 g, 12 h). Ca. A.D. 63-65. Laureate head of Nero left; before, lituus / Divus Claudius, as founder, plowing right with yoked ox and cow; behind, four vexilla inscribed [III, VI, X and XI] representing the four legions whose veterans were settled in the colony. Kadman 95; Rosenberger 46; Rouvier 997; RPC 4749. Green patina, liht sandy deposits, some porosity. Good fine.
