Philip I. A.D. 244-249. AR antoninianus (22 mm, 2.73 g, 6 h). Rome, A.D. 245. IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I right / ADVENTVS AVGG, emperor on horseback left, raising arm in salute and holding scepter. RIC 26b; RSC 3. Good very fine.

The St. Jean d'Ardieres Hoard consisted of 4,100 antoniniani and three denarii struck from 215 until 252. It was studied by Vincent Drost and his results published in Trésors Monétaires.
