Ca. 450-300 B.C. AR 1/8 karshapana (15 mm, 0.65 g). Goddess Lakshmi seated right on a stool, with swastika and miscellaneous symbols around / Undertype of bull advancing left. Haaff -. Extremely rare and possibly unique. Crude very fine. .
It is very rare to find Lakshmi seated right in this series (Haaff recorded just three specimens of the 1/4 karshapana, his type 4.5). Our coin is a 1/8 karshapana, or half unit, which was unknown to Haaff.
