Virasena. th century A.D. Æ unit (11 mm, 1.65 g). Brahmi legend Virasenasa on top, below nandipada on left and palm tree on right / Traces of Lakshmi standing. Pieper 1040; MACW 4754. Sandy light-green patina. Nearly very fine.
This is a rare coin type, issued by a post-Kushan king Virasena who ruled in the region around Mathura.
