Narendra. 6th century A.D. Æ (25 mm, 2.92 g). Taxila(?). Stylized bust of king right, wearing crescent-crested crown and holding plant; traces of Brahmi legend Sri to right / Blank (incuse of obverse punch). Göbl 150. Scarce and choice. Brown patina. Very fine.

A scarce type that was probably issued in Taxila. The king's head is elongated, typical of the Huns who practiced head-binding. This has been attributed to a local Hunnic ruler called Narenda, and was probably the last in the series.
