Samanta Deva. Ca. 850-1000. Æ 1/4 jital (14 mm, 1.02 g). Elephant advancing left / Lion standing right with jaws open and paw raised. Tye 20.2. This half denomination is very rare. Tye lists only two specimens from the British Museum. Brown patina. Very fine.
