Early 8th-9th centuries. AR unit (32 mm, 7.17 g). Recumbent bull (Nandi), with Brahmi legend Harikela above / Ornamental trident with sun and crescent above, all within decorative border. MACW 5260, MNI 505. An attractive heavy specimen with lovely dark toning. Rare to find such a heavy weight, this being one of the heaviest specimens we've seen. Toned, flan crack. Very fine.
