12th century. BI gadhaiya paisa (14 mm, 4.24 g). Degenerate Indo-Sasanian bust right / Battle scene showing horseman trampling one victim underfoot, with the victim's sword lying below him; the horseman brandishes his sword at another victim to right. Deyell 167; MNI 649-52.

A very unusual coin type that depicts a battle scene involving three combatants. It is attributed to the Silaharas of the Konkan, though Maheshwari assigns it to the Paramaras and suggests it was issued to celebrate their recovery of Malwa in ca. 1190.  It is rare to find all three combatants on the flan as in this specimen.
