Amrita Pala. Before 1195. BI jital (15 mm, 3.01 g). Stylized bull seated left, with Devanagari legend Sri Amrita Pa(la) above; additional Ra to left of bull's hump and dot to right; horizontal ladder pattern above legend / Stylized horseman facing right. Deyell 228. Very rare. Nice very fine. 

Amrita Pala was the ruler of Budaon. In 1195 he was defeated by Muhammad bin Sam, the Muslim invader, who later issued billon jitals in the same style. 

All of Amrita Pala's coins are rare. This variety with an additional Ra and dot on obverse, is very hard to find.
