Karnadeva. 1296-1304. Æ (14 mm, 3.24 g). Stylized Kumbha (sacred vase) / Nagari legend Sri Ka/(rna) deva. Amol Banka figs. 4a and 4b. Very rare. Olive-green patina. Good fine.

Karna Deva was the last Hindu ruler of Gujarat, who ruled for a brief period before his kingdom was invaded by Alauddin Khalji of Delhi. His coins are all rare. Only two specimens of this kumbha type are recorded. This specimen has the king's name clearly visible on reverse.
