Achyutaraya. 1565-1570. Æ 5 jitals (21 mm, 16.39 g). Gandabherunda (double-headed eagle) displayed, holding four elephants in its beaks and feet / Nagari legend Sri Pra/tapa Chyuta/ Raya. MSI 675-7. Rare. Earthen-green patina. Nearly very fine.
Heavy copper coins of Achyutaraya are hard to find. The double-headed eagle was his personal symbol.
