India, East India Company, Bombay Presidency, issued for the Malabar coast, in the name of 'Alamgir II (1754-59), Rupee, Mumbai, ry. not visible, obv. neat crescent above 'd' of padshah, type A, bead above julus, Rupee, machine made at Calcutta mint, similar design but crescent inverted (Stevens 7.6, 7.18; KM 178, 224; Pr. 75, 294), the first with test punch on rim at bottom of reverse, about very fine, scarce, the second toned very fine (2).
