Early Anglo-Saxon England, secondary phase (c. 710-760), silver Sceattas, series J ('York') (2), type 37, 0.83g; diademed heads facing, crucifix between, rev. four abstract birds clockwise around cross pommée (SCBI 69, nos. 386-387; S.802A), another, type 72, 0.76g, as before, rev. bird right with ornate plumage, head backturned, no trefoil (SCBI 69, no. 395; S.802C), the second chipped and of somewhat baser appearance, otherwise very fine (2).
