James I (1603-25), Laurel, third coinage, 8.58g, m.m. trefoil, fourth laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, small ties, rev. crowned shield over cross fourchée (cf. Schneider 86; N.2114; S.2638B), cleaned with rim smoothing, curious light probably struck (?) graffiti behind head, otherwise almost fine.
