James I (1603-25), Half-Laurel, third coinage, 4.46g, m.m. trefoil, fourth laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. crowned shield over cross fourchée (Schneider 92; N.2117; S.2641A), scratch at nape of neck, and struck with worn dies, otherwise almost very fine.
