A large, important, engraved Khendi
A trumpet neck set on a globe-shaped body with an amply shaped spout. Beneath the green glaze we see a beautifully carved overall stylized pattern of leaves with a freely carved scaled dragon, which is accentuated by flames and clouds of smoke as it chases a flaming pearl, containing a Jing-yang pattern.
Height: 23.5cm
Style of: Ming (15th -16th century), age determination uncertain
The position of the eyes next to each other is characteristic of the early Ming period
