A greatly important and rare sancai-glazed pottery ewer in the shape of a goose
Seated on its feet, head raised with a plump body and lush flaring tail, hollow on the inside. The head and feather tail in elaborate detail, covered in an iridescent and adherent green, brown and crème glaze.

Height: 8cm

Style of: Tang – Liao (10th century) OXFORD Authentification states 'last date of firing less than 100 years ago' (Sample No C118g87)

This is an extremely rare miniature version of larger bird-shaped vases.
