An interesting large green jade carving of a mythical beast, "Bixie"
Resembling a recumbent lion, its finely carved clawed paws elegantly tucked beneath its body, facing forward. Its angular head up, with watchful close-set eyes framed by flaming brows and a powerful striated mane and beard. Its chest decorated with evenly incised horizontal lines. Its haunches decorated in relief with curling scrolls. The fine green with strands of brown marbling and a fine shine.
