An extremely fine openwork bronze censer with inscription
The cover with a lion dog finial about a pierced boarder of curving vines and lowers, the body decorated on either side with an elaborate dragon in relief within an oval band, with two lion head shaped handles, supported by three elephant head shaped feet, their trumpets resting on an openwork stand of three bats, with a circular disk, with a square aperture and four Chinese Characters ("Tai-ping" = peace and security).
