An extremely fine large celadon double gourd ewer
Of Goryeo style, well pottered covered, of double gourd shape, the well rounded lower body with a long elegant spout and loped handle the smaller upper body to mid-lower body, with a small loop at the highest point originally for a silk rope attaching the cover, the upper body with a narrow waisted neck and opening and matching cover with loop on top. Decorated beneath the finely crackled sea green glaze with beautiful depictions of lowers within double rings circles amongst vines and elegant cranes between the clouds. The tapered waist decorated with vertical lines in live relief. The underside two pictographs beneath the glaze, foot ring unglazed.
