UMAYYAD: AE Fals (4.50g), Al-Mawsil (Mosul). Obverse center "Allah ahad allah al-samad" (God the one, God the eternal refuge), tawhid phrase in margin, reverse margin carrying mint name followed by "jaz" (current). Walker-928. Choice very fine. Very rare.

A very rare variety of the Mosul falus, a similarly conditioned piece appeared back in 2012 in Busso Peus Auction 407/408 (lot 1355), sold for 160 EUR, after which there appears to be no records of this fals.
