Unusual arrangement of the obverse legend, citing the governor Muhammad Ibn Yahya, obverse legend inscription "bism Allah duriba bil-Rayy fi wilayat Muhammad Ibn Yahya sanat tis' wa sab'een wa mi'a" (In the name of Allah, [dirham] minted in Al-Rayy in the governorship of Muhammad Ibn Yahya year nine and seventy and one hundred), reverse center citing Al-Amin Muhammad as "wali 'ahd al-muslimeen" (heir to the Muslims) and son of the Commander of the Faithful, also citing Ja'far. A-219.9c (RR). Choice extremely fine, attractively toned and lustrous. Rare.
