An exceptional, very well pedigreed example, perhaps the finest known. Minor smoothing, otherwise, extremely fine.

The obverse legend of this coin calls Herakles the 'founder of the Ionians', thus referring to the Ionian heritage of Perinthus, which was founded by Samians in the 6th century BC.
