ΠЄPΓAIΩN Distyle aedicula; within, facing cult statue of Artemis Pergaia, wearing polos, its body decorated with fourteen figures in three bands; to lower left and right, a bird standing on small cippus; star and crescent in upper left and right fields; in pediment, eagle. SNG Copenhagen 338 (same dies). SNG Paris 488 var. (obverse). SNG von Aulock -. Rare and with faint traces of contemporary gilding. A sharply struck piece with an astoundingly detailed rendering of the cult statue of Artemis Pergaia. Extremely fine.
