D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Theodosius II facing slightly to right, holding spear in his right hand and with a shield decorated with horseman attacking a fallen foe over his left shoulder. Rev. CONCORDI-A AVGG Є / CONOB Constantinopolis seated facing, head to right, holding scepter in her right hand and Victory on globe in her left, placing her right foot on prow; in field to left, star. Depeyrot 55/3 var. (unlisted officina). RIC 9 var. (unlisted officina). An unpublished variety of a very rare issue. Sharply struck and lustrous. Good extremely fine.
