D N LEO PE-RPET AVG Pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust of Leo I facing, his head turned slightly to right, holding spear in his right hand and with shield decorated with horseman attacking a fallen foe over his left shoulder. Rev. SARVS REI RVBLICAE C / CONOR (sic!) Leo I and Leo II enthroned facing, each nimbate, wearing consular robes and holding mappa; above, cross underneath star. Depeyrot 92/1 corr. (omitting C in the reverse legend). RIC 637. Rare. A lustrous and interesting dynastic issue with curious spelling errors. Minor areas of weakness and with some small die breaks, otherwise, good extremely fine.
